Busy Busy Busy
So my life is always busy... but as of late, it's been chaotically busy!! Field Trips, Fundraisers, Traveling out of state; TWICE in one month, PTA, Piano Recitals, Etc...... I have not had a lot of time to cook, let alone blog about cooking :(
I did make clam chowder with the cream sauce, (and forgot to take pictures) it tasted very good! I think next time I'll cook the sauce on the stove first to thicken it up so it's not so soupy. And I also got my WHITE CHEDDAR shipment, and LOVED it!!! We just poured it into some noodle shells and broccoli, and it was to die for! (again, forgot pictures). We've also tried their BLUEBERRY MUFFIN MIX -- it was SO simple to do, and made a quick breakfast.
I'll do better this month, and make some yummy things to post. But for now, take my word for it, this stuff is FANTASTIC!!

Cookie Dough
For the LOVE of cookies!
Shirley J's is now offering Cookie Dough Mix...
I thought I'd give it a try and see what I could come up with.
First of all... Add Water --- that's the instructions!!!
Anyone can do that, right?
Now, think of what kind of cookie you are making???....
Got it??? okay, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of that ingredient to your dough, and Wallah!!
Now dump your dough on to the counter, and roll into a log. cut into 1/2" disks, place on parchment paper lined baking pan.
Bake for 13 minutes and you're done.
I forgot to think of what I was going to add, until my dough was already mixed, so this is what I came up with :D
DECORATE WITH M&M's for a festive cookie
Roll in CINNAMON SUGAR for a Snickerdoodle, they turned out good!!
Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo
For Sunday dinner, I tried the Cream Sauce.
We used it to make Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo... boy was it good!!
First I started my pot of water with a sprinkle of salt, you'll need a rapid boil, then I washed and chopped up the Broccoli so I had mostly tops and cut the tops in half for bite size pieces. When my water is at a boil I added my noodles, they take about 12 minutes. In the last 5 minutes you'll add your broccoli to the water for a quick blanch.
For the Sauce, it was as easy as measuring the cream sauce powder, adding water, some Parmesan cheese, and boiling it on the stove!! I did tweak it from their recipe a bit... I added a dash of pepper, and a dash of garlic powder; plus I turned around for too long, and let it boil too much and it became very thick, so I added some cream I had left in my fridge to thin it out. I LOVED it even better :D
When your noodles are done boiling drain and toss in some Olive Oil to prevent stickiness, add your sauce and {in the words of Emerell Lagasse} BAM! you're done!
I had dinner on the table start to finish in 20 minutes! AND the kids Loved the Broccoli with the cream sauce... they ate it all!

PIZZA & BREADSTICKS
Okay, I've used it twice {so far} and LOVE the Pizza Pasta Seasoning!!
I made some bread sticks dough,
rolled them in butter {because it makes everything taste good}
sprinkled the {Shirley J Pizza Pasta Seasoning} on, and then added some Parmesan cheese to top, and WALLAH!!
Yummy, delicious, tasty bread sticks... they didn't last through the meal, and there was a huge pan of them!
ALSO, we made a HOMEMADE Marinara Sauce with Tomato Sauce and the SHIRLEY J PIZZA & PASTA SEASONING... My kids {including husband} went bananas over this!!!
You've GOT to try this!!
